German Language can easily be learnt if the learner speaks/understands English language.

German and English have a lot of similarities and differences as well. They borrow from each other.

For example, the German language shares 60% of the English Vocabulary.

German language makes use of the 26 letters in the English Alphabet with extra 4 new letters, making it 30 letters of the German Alphabet.

Now, let’s learn some of the common words in German .

1.  THE DAYS OF THE WEEK / DIE TAGE DES WOCHEN

We have 7 days in a week and they are:-

English / German

Monday (Mon) / Montag (Mo)

Tuesday (Tues) / Dienstag (Di)

Wednesday(Wed) / Mittwoch (Mi)
