Do not open your mouth

(1.) In the heat of anger (Prov.14:17)

(2.) When you do not have all the facts – (Prov. 18:13)

(3.). When you have not verified the story.

(4.). If your words will offend a weaker neighbour .

(5.). If your words will be a poor reflection of the Lord, or your friends and family.

(6.). When you are tempted to treat Holy things with contempt.

(7.). When you are tempted to joke about sin.

(8.). If you would later be ashamed of your words ( Prov. 8:18) and may regret at last for doing so.

(9.). If your words will convey a wrong impression about somebody or something ( Prov. 17:24).

(10.) If the issue is not your business (Prov. 24:10).

(11.). When you are tempted to lie (Prov. 4:24).

(12.). If your words will damage someone’s reputation (Prov. 16:21).

(13.). If your words would destroy a relationship ( Prov. 16:29).

(14.). When you are feeling critical.

(15.). If you cannot speak without yelling.

(16.). When it is time to listen (Prov. 16:21).

(17.). If you may have to apologise later (Prov. 18:21).

(18.). If your words would become nagging (Prov. 19:13).

(19.). When you are tempted to flatter someone (Prov. 24:24).

(20.). When you are tempted to gossip.

👉Whoever keepeth his mouth and his tongue,
keepeth his soul from trouble … (Prov. 21:23).
