WHAT WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR?

God created us for a purpose.
How have you been running the race which we are created for?
How many times have you prayed to God to open your eyes to see, to reveal to you what He wants you to do for Him?

Taking reference from  the story of Docas.

In  Acts 9:36-39, ” Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works.
And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.
And for as much as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. 
Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them”

Oh! What a worthy life. She led a selfless life.
Her wealth was sorely for others especially the widows. And because of her good works she was raised from death .

Look at that Vs 39 again, “They called Peter saying this woman must not die we need her to live.They brought all that she gave to them”.

How many people are praying for you to live because they need you?

How many people are you impacting?… am not talking about your family members.

Have you sown  into people’s lives and touched lives greatly to the point of people interceding earnestly for you?

You ought to impact lives  using the little you have.
You always have something you can give to people…your services and money; your goodness and kindness; your mercy and encouragement etc.

You are not the worst or the poorest on earth.
There are always people you are better off than.

Some people will quickly buy any new thing that enters the market but cannot sow into people’s lives.
Friend, impact lives greatly.

In 2 kings 4:9-10  “And she ( The Shunamite woman) said,  unto her husband, ‘Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually’.
Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall / housetop; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither”.

Gahazi and Elisha did not forget her, infact through their prayers she got her desire…. A son .

She did not know that giving the men of God  space to lay their heads will make her to he a mother.
Yes, because of what she did, they prayed for her and she had a son. And even when the son later died, Elisha also prayed and brought him back to life.

How many times have you given shelter to people?
Some are clouded with their own needs, nothing else must happen until their own desire is met.

As you sow your seed, you dont know where each will fall. The bible encourages us to scatter our seed!!!

The story of this lady(lbidun) that died recently touched me so much and put me into a different praying mood. A young lady that got married only to discover that she cannot have a child (medically) due to a mistake by doctors after a surgery she did when she was young but unknown to her till she started looking for solution to her childlessness. And was told that the doctors that performed the operation stitched her tube

She tried to have children through other means (IVF) but all to no avail.
She had 11 failed (IVF).

The pains and the disappointments led her to her ministry of helping and sponsoring women to have their own children through (IVF).

She couldn’t do much as she wanted / planned till death caught up with her but the little she did spoke for her.

Many women are praising her while some are crying because the job is not done.

At the age of 39, she had touched many lives. She gave hope, joy and restored many marriages that would have collapsed because of childlessness. She put smiles on many women.

Everyone is speaking very good of her. She used her problem to touch lives.
some people will be going up and down looking for a child and will never touch lives.

How many can you or have you done  according to the level of your pocket?

You don’t need to have millions or be a Billionaire, before you can help.
Just start from your little corner…..do something no matter how small.
It might not be monetary if you don’t have but just sow goodness.

John 4:34-35 says, ” Jesus saith unto them, My meat / food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest”.

Let your gift make room for you to bless and impact life not only to selfishly accumulate things.
