2020, OH! WHAT A YEAR!

 2020, OH! WHAT A YEAR!

A lady thinking

It is the last day of the year, 31st December, 2020. It is indeed a year to be remembered for it’s hurdles, challenges, Tears and Cheers.
A year with restrictions, rules and regulations. It touched both the highly and the lowly; the mighty, prominent, rich and the poor.
A year of constant Nose masking, washing of hands, sanitizing, pandemic, palliatives and lock down.

A YEAR MANY:

Died of this Covid-19, EndSars (in Nigeria), etc.
Took their own lives because of boredom, loneliness and hunger.
Lost their jobs.
Lost hope and some returned back to God.
Worked so hard to sustain their families.
Laboured through thick and thin , whether it was convenient or not.
But in everything, we thank God for scaling through, despite our shortcomings.

AT FIRST

We all started this year 2020 with high hopes, dreams, aspirations, etc, but met with many obstacles, pushed to the wall, with no visible options, but decided to climb over the obstacle.

We appreciate all who:

Reached out and helped strangers, neighbours, friends, families, rejected, dejected, abandoned, sick, etc.
Invested in the destiny of many whom they may never meet.
Did palliatives to ease out hunger.
Stood as a support for their spouses whom God has given in their care.
Defied the odds against them and stood up again in spite of past humiliation and defeat.
Walked out of an abusive relationship and refused to conform to the norm, even in the face of being abandoned by many.
Decided to see good in their future when the society was trying to define them by their failures.
Worked tirelessly to help Covid patients.

OUR WORDS

We say, a big Thank you for;
Fighting through the storms of 2020.
Not giving up on yourself in 2020.
Pressing on and staying alive.
Giving yourself another chance to have a good go at life in 2020.
We celebrate you. For your strength and tenacity.

2020 is not the year to count number of Lamborghini, Ferrari and Estates, (even though we rejoice and bless God for those that were blessed this year amidst the challenges)…. But a year to be grateful to God for Life . Many went down the drain, but its by his Grace that we were not consumed💃.

It is the last day of the year, 31st December, 2020. Congratulations, we made it with all these struggles this year. We are heroes, not by our might, but by God’s Grace. We return all the praises to Him.
