There are some strange things or rather some surprising things in the Bible…..
▪️Isaac served God but his child Esau brought him grief
▪️Israel served God but his son Reuben slept with his father’s wife.
▪️Isreal served God but ended up cursing his first born.
▪️Eli was a Priest before God but his children were sleeping with women in the presence of God.
▪️Samuel was called by God but his children were called by Satan
▪️Samuel was hearing the voice of God but his children were listening to the voice of Satan
▪️Jacob followed God but his daughter Dinah followed strange daughters of the land and she was raped
▪️In Genesis 26:34-35 …when Esau was 40 yrs old, he married Judith daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and also Basemath daughter of Elon the Hittite. …They were a source of grief to Isaac and Rebekah.
▪️Eli’s sons were good for nothing. They didn’t honor the Lord…(1 Samuel 2:12-36)
▪️In 1 Samuel 8… When Samuel grew old, he appointed his sons as Israel’s leaders. The name of his firstborn was Joel and the name of his second was Abijah, and they served at Beersheba. But his sons did not follow his ways. They turned asideafter dishonest gain and accepted bribes and perverted justice.
Parents, if you don’t catch your children young & indoctrinate them with the word of God, it will take the Grace of God to correct them as adults. And if you have a wayward child, your hellfire has started here on Earth and you have failed the work God entrusted in your care .
🔹you need to look at your back & be sure your children are following you.
Lord, I release my children to Your care and protection, and I relinquish my will for them in favour of Your will. I know I can’t go everywhere my children go, but I know You do. Please Lord, protect & guide them. Give us wisdom on how to parent well. Give us peace in Your goodness towards our children In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Pray and guide your children today so that they will marry the right person tomorrow who will embrace you, welcome your family and be proud to call you her in-law.
