You can get anything you want in your life but the highest thing you need to get is GOD. There are many things that are available in the kingdom, posterity is available, influence is available but the impex of your pursuit must be God himself. When you get to a point where you seek any other thing above God, no matter what it is, it has become an idol at that exact point so we must be careful and we must guide our pursuits so that at no time are we found consciously or subconsciously pursuing anything that is above God.
Any other thing becomes relevant ONLY when the position of God is HEALTHY and SECURED in your life. When the position of God in your life is strengthened by anything regardless of how legitimate it is, ahhhh you are already in danger zone.
You must make sure the position of God is secured beyond disturbance that nothing in life has the capacity to disturb his place in your life. You only become a winner when that is in place. Regardless of what you seek, regardless of what you want, believe me friends, it is TOTALLY MUNDANE if it makes God second. I don’t know what it may be, I don’t care what it is. Any other thing that has the capacity to push God and you are not afraid of it pushing God, you are losing something.
God’s position in your life must be secured beyond and above contention. When a believer loses fire, loses serious desire for God, you are not sick, there is no need to look for more signs, it means that you are under a serious attack and it calls for EMERGENCY!!
Let us pray:
Lord, please be seated at the throne of my heart. If anything has threatened your position there, I use my WILL and secure your position as LORD not OCCUPANT, as LORD not TENANT, as LORD, as LORD, as LORD!!! Oh my God…
Please don’t be seated in my heart as a co-occupant or co-tenant with something. Let your position be secured beyond limitation.
Lord, dismiss the things that threaten your position in my life. They are not worthy of my life. If they must threaten you to bless me, then they are from the devil. If they must threaten your place in my life to bless me, then they are from the devil.
Any desire that cannot submit to you, I throw it out in Jesus name. Amen.
